Biography

Donna has an appreciation and love for the beautiful Carnwath Farms property, which she thinks of as a gift that the Town of Wappinger possesses. A life-long love of animals, the environment and an abiding respect for historic preservation led her to this organization, first as the newsletter editor and now as president.

George Gumbel

Title: Vice President & Garden Chair

 

Biography

Prior to coming to Dutchess County, George lived in Seminole County, Florida and was a chef at Swiss Air. Serving as chair of the garden committee of his condo complex, George oversaw the improvements and maintenance of the gardens. The complex subsequently won numerous awards from town officials for the impressive display. As the chair of Friends of Carnwath Garden Committee, George brings that same eye for landscape and garden design to Carnwath Farms.

Todd Bowen

Biography

Todd Bowen is the Secretary of Friends of Carnwath. He finds Carnwath to be a unique and beautiful property and wants to see it thrive. Though he is learning more about Carnwath, he will do everything he can for the Friends of Carnwath Farms Historic Site & Park Inc.

Todd currently attends Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh and will be graduating in May of 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts (Human Services).

During his time outside of serving the Friends of Carnwath, he is the President Elect and Secretary of the Rotary Club of Wappingers Falls. He is also the Chairman of the Dutchess County Youth Board & Coordinating Council.

Jessica Sarrantonio

Biography

It’s true that we sometimes don’t know what is in our own backyard. Jessica didn’t know Carnwath existed until the summer of 2022, and she instantly fell in love. After learning more about the park she started to attend Friends of Carnwath meetings and quickly got involved. Jessica is a lover of nature, people, and culture and is a Wappingers Falls resident. She has worked in many industries including finance, textiles, and non-profits and is a master of making order from chaos. She graduated from Union College in 2012 and is a Long Island native. Most recently she started working with Dutchess Tourism. In her free time she enjoys growing food, learning how to live sustainably, and finding joy in the small things.
